CoinMarketCap: Malicious Code Identified and Removed from Website

On June 21, CoinMarketCap said in a post on the X platform that it had identified and removed the malicious code from the site and that the team was continuing to investigate and take steps to strengthen security.

In previous news, CoinMarketCap’s front-end was attacked and a malicious pop-up window prompting users to “verify their wallets” appeared on the site. CoinMarketCap later tweeted that it had identified and removed the malicious code from the site and that all systems were back to normal, but the tweet was deleted.
